Overview: Our purpose on this wiki-page is to start compiling information which will help connect people meeting food needs here in our metro area... and by then working together in some practical ways, do a better job at what we all hope to accomplish in our community. Anyone and everyone can get involved here. Share best-in-class resources & ideas.

National Christian Outreach -- The facility is The Compassion Center at 2616 S. Shelby St in Indianapolis. We are open seven days per week and 365 days per year. We require nothing more than a hungry person wanting to eat. We feed between 10:00 am and 2:00 pm daily. We have no employees operating only with volunteers and community service workers. There is never any charge to anybody.
Idea: Churches that don't actually HAVE a food pantry, help support those that do. Eg... MissionaryConnections / NewWineskinMinistries (Lafayette Square area).
Food issue is not independent of other needs... such as Transportation (or bus-tickets, etc).
Also need more Christians to help re presenting the gospel. [It's hard to hear the gospel when your belly is grumbling... so we need to connect such ministries to be more effective TOGETHER than separately.]
Per NonProfit News... "Covenant Foods will open its doors to help feed the needy. The food pantry inside Northside Baptist Church, 3021 E. 71st St., will be open from 4 to 7 p.m. each Tuesday. Clients may visit once a month."

Who Wants To Work Together In Practical Ways To Better-Resolve The Problem...
Easy FOOD collecting idea.... Contact event-planners to let them know you'd like to be available for any leftover food from their events. Here's the Indy Timeline of Events.
How about the SPECIAL food programs throughout the year, like Thanksgiving, Christmas, etc.? How might they play into a better ongoing solution?
YOUR IDEAS, EVERYONE?????
(Bishop Madison... tell us more about the Roberts Park feeding on Thursdays.)
(Neil Hunt... CBC graduate... Food service experience)
Angel Food Ministries -- a national ministry, providing boxes of food at really low cost. Use it as an outreach in your community. Check their U.S. map -- see the number of Indianapolis churches involved.
'Ask Anything Saturday'... is held weekly at the Unleavened Bread Cafe in the heart of Indy's inner-city. But ANYONE & EVERYONE can participate and benefit from this wiki, even if you don't happen to live in Indy.
But just in case you're interested, visit the cafe online...
And now, there's a second location joining into the 'Ask Anything Saturday' program... Victory Village Shoppe. PTL!
But the 'Ask Anything Saturday' wiki-site is specifically to grow out our collective knowledge of IMPORTANT Questions & ANSWERS which will be useful to our neighbors...
...and lots of urban neighbors in communities across the city and country as they watch our model.
How can the people of ubcafe communicate better? Do we believe the same about our faith? Why is there so much of a difference in Christians who read the same book? Come ask those great questions and dialog with others. After all, there's a lot resting on the outcome -- LIFE... or death. Choose LIFE.
