It Takes Two

"It Takes Two!" is a dynamic new Indianapolis-based healthy relationships' program from the Fathers and Families Center that inspires couples to build a noble legacy of partnership and parenthood through education, mentoring and advocacy.  This program helps couples understand each other, get along better and provide stability to their family.

"It Takes Two!" is specifically geared toward unwed couples who are either expecting a child or have a child 3 months of age or younger.  The program staff (Family Support Team) works closely with each couple coaching and mentoring them to work together for the benefit of their child or children.  Couples will partake in an educational program that focuses on:

  • Communication Skills: Speaker Listener Technique
  • Conflict Management: Time Outs
  • Stress Management
  • Community Building
  • Personality Styles
  • Supporting Each Other
  • Love Languages

Services that each couple may receive focus in the areas of GED, workforce development, prenatal care, parenting skills and other social service referrals.

At the "It Takes Two!" program, couples will find a safe place to work out deeper issues as well as a supportive enivronment that encourages them to be in a healthy relationship.  At the "It Takes Two!" program, we believe both parents are the best parents.
